Pair your hardware

A browser cannot read your exact GPU and CPU, so a small Windows app does it once and hands you a code.

  1. step 1

    Download and run the scanner.

    Download scanner (Windows)

    The scanner only reads your CPU, GPU, video memory, RAM, screen, disk space and Windows version, and shows you everything before anything is sent.

    Windows or your antivirus shows a warning?

    The scanner is a new, small program that is not yet digitally signed, so Windows does not know it. This is common for new software and does not mean it is harmful.

    Windows SmartScreen ("Windows protected your PC")

    1. Click More info.
    2. Click Run anyway.

    Browser says the file is not commonly downloaded

    1. Open your browser downloads list and click the three dots next to the file.
    2. Choose Keep (Chrome and Edge), then Keep anyway.

    Antivirus blocks or deletes it

    1. Open your antivirus, go to quarantine or protection history, and restore the file.
    2. Add CanIRunGame-Scanner.exe to the exclusions list, then run it again.

    If you prefer not to run it, you can still use the whole site: every game page shows its requirements, and the Hardware page lets you check any graphics card or processor without scanning.

    Only download the scanner from this page. You never need to disable your antivirus completely.
